Job order contract: a job order contract, hereinafter called joc, is a competitively bid, firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract. It is placed with a contractor for the accomplishment of repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of buildings, structures, or other real property. Individual projects are priced by selecting the appropriate construction tasks, multiplying them by the correct quantities, and applying the applicable adjustment factor. Ordering is accomplished through issuance of work orders under the contract. The contractor shall furnish all management, labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to perform the work. The county intends to award the contract within 180 days after bids are opened and read. Award of the contract may be delayed based on changes to the county's requirements. License requirement: this contract requires a current and active california b contractor's license at the time of bid submission and throughout the term of the contract.
