Ventura Water seeks bids from qualified bidders for repair of the Waterline Repair - CamdenHanover Project consists of replacing 8-inch polyvinyl chloride pipeline pipe placed in an 18-inch RCP sleeve, located along the abandoned portion of Shoreline Drive, between Hanover Lane and Camden Lane. The waterline was damaged during the President's early February 2024 Major Disaster Declaration, DR-4769-CA, as such, the City is pursuing funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Repairs include excavating, shoring and dewatering in the City's beachfront right-of-way. Additional planned pipeline protection, consisting of concrete encasement and boulder protection before the waterline on the beach. The waterline plans show with Drawing No. 2019 D-096 as marked up. Sealed proposals are requested for the Waterline Repair: Camden-Hanover Project. Proposals must include one hard copy in a sealed envelope marked with the Proposal Number and one PDF electronic copy sent via email to the Purchasing Representative. No oral, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered unless accompanied by a hard copy sealed proposal. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting is required to submit a response. All questions must be submitted by email to the Purchasing Supervisor by the specified deadline and will be answered via addendum. A faithful performance bond executed by a surety company is required from the successful bidder. Contractor shall have and maintain a State of California Contractor's License Classification A General Engineering Contractor, or Classification C-34 Pipeline Contractor.
