The project is anticipated to start on approximately April 2026 with a duration of 180 calendar days for completion. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked for the project. Alternate bids may be called for, but the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on the base contract, without consideration of additive or deductive items. Attendance at the mandatory job walk is required and failure to attend may result in a non-responsive bid. This is a prevailing wage project, and contractors are required to comply with the prevailing rate of per diem wages for workers. A Payment Bond for contracts over $25,000 and a Performance Bond for all contracts will be required prior to commencement of work. Contractors must possess a valid and active contractor's license of classification A or B and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to bid or perform the work. Subcontractors must also be prequalified pursuant to AB 1565 if required. Coordination of Work: It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to maintain overall coordination of the work. Based on the general contract construction schedule prepared in accordance with these Specifications, the Contractor shall obtain from each subcontractor a similar schedule and shall be responsible for all parties maintaining these schedules or for coordinating changes necessitated in order to meet the specified time of completion of the work Any interpretation or correction of the Contract Documents will be made only by addendum issued by the Owner, and a copy of any addendum will be hand-delivered, mailed, or faxed to each bidder known to have received a set of the Contract Documents.
