There shall be the option of two (2) additional one-year renewals at the sole discretion of the City of Canton. Any City Department shall be able to use any and all awarded contracts. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - FOB Destination Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 500 $ - Certified or Cashier's Check 500 $ PLEASE NOTE THE UPDATE BID LANGUAGE REGARDING BID CHECKS OR BONDS: A certified check, cashier's check or surety bond made payable to the City of Canton must accompany the electronic bid that is uploaded into Bidnet Direct. The apparent low bidder must submit the original check or bond to the City of Canton Purchasing Department within five business (5) days of notification of being the apparent low bidder. The Director of Public Service reserves the right to waive any technical defects in any bid guaranty submitted so long as the guaranty is in substantial compliance with State law. Should any bid not be awarded or be rejected, such check or bond will be returned to the bidder or bidders after the execution of the contract.
