Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.
The work includes reconditioning approximately 5 miles of 6th Avenue in the Town of Leola, which will involve pulverizing existing asphalt, adding aggregate base, asphalt paving, shouldering, and culvert work. There is also an alternate bid to reconstruct a portion of 3rd Avenue, approximately 2,650 feet in length, involving pulverizing existing asphalt, compacting, paving, and shouldering. Bidders are required to submit proposals electronically through QuestBid. A certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the bid amount must accompany each proposal as a guarantee. The Town of Leola reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid deemed advantageous. All bids shall remain subject to acceptance for forty-five days after the time set for bid opening. The contract award will be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
