The City of Greenville, SC-Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the total removal of the existing mast and falls lighting system and installation of a new architectural LED lighting package for the Liberty Bridge. Located in Falls Park at 601 S. Main Street, Greenville SC the Liberty Bridge is an iconic feature of Falls Park and downtown Greenville. participation of M/WBEs: 10% The City of Greenville is looking for a contractor that can provide a lighting package with a full range of LED color schemes and adjustable levels of brightness that are easily programable with preset patterns and schemes for holidays or color schemes that are easily customizable. The selectedcontractorwill provide all materials, supplies, labor, management, oversight andsecuretherequired permitting for this project. Due to geographical limitations, thissystemwill need to rely on a transmitter and receiver systemto communicatebetweenprogram controller and lighting. A site visit is scheduled prior tothesubmittaldeadline for interested parties to view existing conditions andbecomefamiliarwith the project site. Attendance is strongly encouraged. SCOPE OF WORK a) Conduct and provide lighting audit to ensure proposed lightingpackagewillbe adequate to highlight the falls and masts, while limiting light pollution. b) Verify all existing conditions prior to starting work c) Coordinate with City of Greenville representatives to minimizedisruptionsd) Remove and dispose of existing light systempackage e) Provide upgraded power and control wiring as needed f) Install commercial grade LED lighting package for the falls andmasts, fixtures must include at least a minimum five (5) year warranty onthefull fixture and ten (10) year warranty on the LED Array. I. Install, mount & focus eight (8) new lighting fixtures at baseof pylonsonthe bridge. New fixtures must be IP66 rated luminaires withdie-castenclosure, fan-free, and seven (7) or more colored LEDs: Red, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo, and White II. Install, mount and focus 10 lighting fixtures at numerous locationsaround and on the bridge to light the Reedy River Falls. Newfixturesmust be IP66 rated luminaires with die-cast enclosure, fan-free, andseven (7) or more colored LEDs: Red, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo, andWhite III. LED lighting fixtures must be integrated with Pharos control package. IV. Install & connect Pharos control package in Falls Park MaintenanceShopto lighting system via transceiver, each group of fixtures will needadesignated wireless receiver for control. V. Transmitters and receivers should feature an IP67-ratedhousingforwaterproof and vandal-proof capabilities and support upto512channels. VI. All lighting fixtures must be securely installed, with mountingbracketsand other needed components must remain minimally visibleVII. Provide post installation training for City Staff 2.3 RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CITY a) The City will review all final work and must give their approval beforeworkisconsidered complete in accordance with the contract. b) Provide parking c) Access to the Falls Park Shop d) Provide available engineered drawings of the Liberty Bridge (AttachmentB)
