Bids are invited for stabilizing subgrade with lime and stabilizing base new and existing flexible base material with cement; furnishing and placing of flexible base material; reworking base course; furnishing and installing CMP culverts, HDPE culverts, concrete headwalls, rip rap, a bridge structure, and road signs; and performing ditch excavation and seeding in Madison County, Texas. All plant, labor, materials, and equipment must be furnished and all work required for the project performed. An original of the bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope upon the blank form of proposal furnished. Sealed envelopes shall be marked in the upper left-hand corner as specified. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for contracts exceeding $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to Madison County, Texas or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds upon the forms contained in the contract documents in the amount of 100% of the contract price from a responsible surety company authorized to do business in Texas and satisfactory to the County. All contractors/subcontractors must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov), and an active SAM Registration through SAM.gov is required.
