Site work and paving for a civil project in Fountain, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Reference Number 0000412512 Remove and replace sanitary sewer lines. SCOPE OF WORK This project consists of two (2) different locations. Remove and replace approximately 362-feet +/- of 8" dia. Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) and 40-feet +/- steel pipe with an 8" dia. SDR-35 pipe. An estimated five (5) service lines will have to be reconnected to the proposed pipe. The inverts of two (2) existing manholes will need to be modified to accept a new water-tight seal for PVC pipe. Also, during construction the contractor will be required to pump raw wastewater from the upstream manhole to the downstream manhole. Best management practices should be used to keep soil out of the storm drainage inlets. Any damaged asphalt will need to be replaced per City of Fountain requirements. The scope of work described above is intended for general overall project work and is not all inclusive of the work that will be required to complete the project by the contractor. Additional scope of work items, but not limited to the following list: 1) All existing sanitary sewer pipe removed during construction is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of. 2) Contractor responsible for all asphalt damaged or removed during construction per City of Fountain requirements. 3) Fountain Sanitation District has not located any underground utilities; this will be the responsibility of the contractor before digging. 4) Contractor is responsible for a traffic control plan that meets the City of Fountain requirements. 5) Contractor is responsible for all erosion control measures. 6) Contractor must submit compaction tests per FSD specifications prior to paving. 7) Pavement thickness needs to match existing conditions or min. 5", whichever is greater, over 24" of aggregate base course. The base course is required regardless of the asphalt thickness determined. 8) Reattach ex. 4" sanitary sewer services lines with wye saddle tap within the trench; except for one lateral which will require replacement up to the property line. 9) No pipe air test nor manhole vac test will be required. However, the contractor is responsible for video of pipe after construction for final approval. 10) Contractor responsible for geotech testing. Construction to begin and end: April 20, 2026 to May 20, 2026. No pre-bid meeting will be required. Corrections or clarifications shall be made by Addendum. Oral clarifications will not be binding. Piggyback Contract No A. The Work of this Contract generally includes construction of streambank slope stabilization improvements including: 1. Site preparation 2. Earthwork 3. Riprap with geotextile and granular backfill 4. Excavation and embankment including compaction 5. Seeding and mulching of disturbed areas 6. Miscellaneous items of construction B. Furnish all materials, equipment, supplies and appurtenances; provide all construction, plant equipment and tools; and perform all necessary labor and supervision C. Coordinate the progress of the Work including coordination between trades, subcontractors, suppliers, public utilities and Owner (through Engineer) to ensure the progress of the Work D. It is the intent of this Contract that the Work proceed in the most expeditious manner possible with a minimum amount of interference with public and private activities
