Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Natick, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the remodel of a library; and elderly care / assisted living facility.
The Town of Natick invites sealed bids for services related to replacement of flooring at the Morse Institute Library and at the Community Senior Center. All bids must comply with the issued Invitation for Bids, including the Instructions to Bidders and Bid Submission Requirements. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any, any part of, or all bids in the best interest of the Town. Any bid submitted will be binding for thirty days subsequent to the time of bid opening. Award is subject to appropriation and to approval of the Natick Town Administrator. Questions regarding this IFB shall be submitted in writing and shall be delivered to the Procurement Office by email to bleblanc@natickma.org by the close of business (4:00 P.M. local time, Monday through Thursday, and 12:00 P.M. (noon), Friday) on February 26, 2026. The Town of Natick solicits bids from qualified firms or individuals for the procurement of services for replacement of flooring for the Morse Institute Library, located at, 14 East Central Street, Natick, MA and Community Senior Center, located at 117 East Central Street, Natick, MA. The goal of this project is to replace sections of flooring in the Morse Library and Community Senior Center. These areas include 1) Morse Library Children's Room, 2) Morse Library Morse Room Main Area 3) Morse Library Morse Room Offices 4) Morse Library Punaret Room Main Area 5) Morse Library Punaret Room offices 6) Community Senior Cente Entrances 7) Community Senior Center Hallways 8) Community Senior Center Offices and 9) Community Senior Center Great Room. See sketch within this RFQ. The work consists of removal and proper disposal of existing carpeting/flooring and adhesive, substrate testing and preparation, furnishing and installation of flooring, and inclusion of all necessary accessories. The Selected Contractor is responsible for measurements and is to field verify before ordering materials. Pursuant to this IFB, the Successful Bidder shall provide all labor and materials necessary to replace flooring at the Morse Institute Library and at the Community Senior Center in the Town of Natick in accordance with the specifications herein. B. Flooring Products 1. Overview - there are three types of flooring in the scope of work a. Broadloom Carpet - Morse Institute Library Children's Section (lower floor) b. Broadloom Carpet - Morse Institute Library Morse Room Main Area, Morse Room Offices, Punaret Room Main Area, Punaret Room offices c. Broadloom Carpet - Community Senior Center Hallway d. LVT - Community Senior Center (Great Room and Offices Room 107, 108, 109 and 110) e) Entryway Carpet - Community Senior Center entrances
