Site work for a water / sewer project in Mantua, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The proposed work includes the following major items: 170 L.F. 18" High Density Polyethylene Pipe; 150 L.F. 24" High Density Polyethylene Pipe; 150 S.Y. Riprap Stone, 18" Thick (D50=6"); 1 UNIT Concrete Headwall, 24". Work includes but is not limited to the removal of trees and a deteriorating storm pipe, installation of 18" and 24" HDPE storm pipes, milling of the existing HMA surface course, and overlay of the roadway with HMA Surface Course, Mix Designation 9.5M64-10R. Milling shall be variable depth as prescribed by the typical section and as agreed upon in the field by the Engineer. Proposed pavement grades, including structures, shallbe laid out by the Contractor using a survey level and acceptable survey techniques by a NJ Licensed Surveyor. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, made payable to the Township of Mantua. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All applicable surety bonds or LOC required must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) and such surety company must be acceptable to the Township Manager and authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et. seq.), and P.L. 1963. C150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act). Attention of bidders is called particularly to the Federal Labor Standard Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, where the higher of the State or Federal wage rates shall prevail. The contractor must comply with P.L. 1977, c. 33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing Stockholders with the bid. The contractor must comply with P.L. 1999 c. 238 Public Works Contractor Registration Act and be registered in accordance with this act, as must any subcontractors. The contractor must also comply with P.L. 2004 c. 57 and submit proof of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. This contract is subject to the provisions of the New Jersey Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. Bids must be prepared on the standard proposal forms provided, in the manner designated therein. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the bidder, and labeled "2023 CDBG DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO FRANKLIN AVENUE" and addressed to the Township of Mantua Clerk. The owner reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid which in its judgment best serves the interest of the owner. No refund shall be made for the return of such documents or shipping costs, if applicable.
