As of February 27, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 23rd or April 13th the project will be officially awarded. The project is known as the "2026 Street Improvement Project" and consists of HMA grinding and overlay, PCC sidewalk, combination concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer adjustments, pavement marking, sodding, and any other work for a total distance of 3.8 miles. Plans and proposal forms are available for a non-refundable cost. Prospective bidders must provide a "Certificate of Eligibility" from the Illinois Department of Transportation before receiving forms. The successful bidder must agree to pay not less than the prevailing rate of wages to all workers, laborers, and mechanics. All proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Bloomingdale in accordance with the "Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction" by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Bid security will be forfeited if the bidder fails or refuses to enter into contract and provide a performance bond after acceptance. The Village is exempt from certain Illinois state taxes, and bid prices should not include the cost of these taxes. The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any technicalities.
