Renovation of an educational facility in Winchester, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work consists of the complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system at Millbrook High School with a new and expanded system that meets current code requirements. The existing system must remain operational until the new system is complete, tested, and approved. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawing bids, and additional information are provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Sealed bids will be received electronically or via paper submission. A Bid Bond and Contract Security are required for all bidders. Bidders must bind their bid for sixty days, and the contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis of the Base Bid. Required forms, including “Compliance with Virginia Law for Transacting Business in Virginia” and “Direct Contact with Students,” must be included with the bid submittal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding procedure. The requirements of Title 54, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia regarding contractor registration apply. There will be no discrimination against bidders on prohibited grounds under state law.
