Site work for a road / highway in Oshtemo Township, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The Road Commission of Kalamazoo County (RCKC) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals to remove and install traffic signals, mast arms and foundations, handholes, and signal equipment at 9th Street at Stadium Drive and Sprinkle Road at N Avenue. These services are to be in accordance with the standards established by MDOT. Question Deadline 02/18/2026 at 12:00 PM ET Questions must be received through online. Questions received by phone, email, or otherwise will not be answered. At the intersection of 9 th Street at Stadium Drive, work will generally consist of removal of the existing mast arm foundation and pole, removal of the temporary signal, wood poles, and anchor blocks. Removal of the temporary signal, signal equipment, and anchor blocks will be paid as TS, Temp, Rem. A new mast arm foundation and pole will need to be reinstalled, and all signal hardware shown on the plans will need to be reinstalled and connected to ensure a fully functioning intersection. All new signal equipment, will require removal of old wiring and installation of new wiring with slack in handholes. Replacement of the four video detection cameras and system shall be paid as one item called Modular Video Detection System. All new cameras and system shall be Iteris Vantage Apex with four sensors that accommodate video and radar detection. Push button replacement at the intersection is also necessary and shall feature audible push buttons and system that meet the included specifications and will be paid as Pedestrian Signal System, Accessible, Modified and Push Button Station and Sign, Modified. Work at the intersection of Sprinkle Road at N Avenue will generally consist of removal of an existing handhole and mast arm foundation, and installation of a new handhole and mast arm foundation. The new handhole location will be approximately 8' to 10' east of the existing location. The existing mast arm pole and all attached traffic signal equipment shall be relocated to the new foundation which shall be approximately 12' north of the current location. All signal heads and equipment are not expected to be replaced but will be relocated and may require replacing wiring to ensure there are no splices if slack in the wiring is not available. Only the 5-section traffic signal attached to the mast arm pole will be removed from use and will be paid as TS, One Way Bracket Arm Mtd, 5 Section (LED), Rem. Salvaging and relocation the mast arm standard, the mast arm, and all attached signal equipment shall be paid as Mast Arm Std, Salv.
