The scope of work includes the supply of labour, equipment, and materials to remove and replace the existing streetcar track, accessories, and existing pavement adjacent to the track right-of-way at Long Branch Loop, on Lakeshore Boulevard West from Long Branch Loop to the intersection of Lakeshore Boulevard West and Browns Line. The work involves staging, hoarding, removing and replacing drainage catchment components, installing new catch basins, drain pipes, track drains and leads, switch drain leads and sewer pipes, providing all new electrical for the new track installation, installing electrical duct banks and associated tie-in to a substation, adjustments to the Overhead Catenary System (OCS), installation of new lubricators, removal or injury of trees, pavement markings, and coordination with the authority having jurisdiction as applicable. The contract includes complete video inspection of the existing streetcar track drainage system, and coordination with TTC forces for work completed by Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), including but not limited to laying and installation of rail and modifications to the Overhead Catenary System, in accordance with contract documents.
