Renovation of a municipal facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
No. 14 - Work on this project will require HVAC contractors. No. 15 - The Contractor shall coordinate the removal and disposal of the existing boiler and circulation pumps and pump housings and furnish and install a new high efficiency boiler and pumps and pump housings, rework existing gas, electrical, exhaust/intake piping and control wiring as required for a fully functional system. The Transit Center only has one boiler; the contractor shall remove and replace the boiler and pumps during the cooling season to avoid the interruption of normal building operation. The Contractor shall remove heating capabilities when weather conditions allow them to do so without negatively affecting occupant comfort. Upon removal of heating capabilities, the Contractor will be responsible for providing temporary heat to meet building demand for normal operation conditions, at the Contractor's cost, should it be required. No. 16 - All debris must be removed from the building daily. The Contractor will be permitted to place a dumpster on site for the sole purpose of disposal of debris related to this project. No. 17 - Unit Bid Item, "REMOVE AND REPLACE EXISTING BOILER" the Contractor shall properly disconnect all wiring, gas, exhaust/intake, and hot water lines prior to removing the boiler. Once the boiler has been properly and safely disconnected, the Contractor shall remove the boiler from the building for disposal. Remove and dispose of existing boiler, circulation pumps and housings Provide and Install new boiler, circulation pumps and housings This project is expected to be funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) as authorized under 49 U.S.C. 5307, 5337 and/or 5339. This notification of federal participation will be included in each subcontract financed in whole or in part with federal assistance provided by FTA.
