Silt sacks shall be installed in retained existing and proposed catch basins and drop inlets within the project limits and as required by the Town or Resident Engineer. The silt sack shall be as manufactured to fit the opening of the drainage structure under regular flow conditions, and shall be mounted under the grate. The insert shall be secured from the surface such that the grate can be removed without the insert discharging into the structure. The filter material shall be installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's written literature and as directed by the Town or Engineer
