As of April 20, 2026 project was awarded to Grod Construction, awarded amount is $3,668,448.35. Questions submitted less than 48 hours before the bid opening may not be answered. Description of the Work A. This project consists of the reconstruction of 2.35 miles of Thomas Road from FM 51 to approximately Knob Road at which Thomas Road becomes Knob Road (southbound) and consist of the reconstruction of 0.23 miles Knob Road from Thomas Road to approximately 100 ft north of Knob Road Summerfield Court. The proposed improvements consist of pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement and aggregate base material, treating with cement, then placing flexible base followed by a HMAC surface course. The project includes roadside ditch reshaping, culvert improvements for crossing culverts and driveway culverts, signage and striping, revegetation of the roadside ditches. The project also includes profile changes to Thomas Road as it approaches FM 51, adding a culvert under Thomas Road at FM 51 and realignment of Thomas Road for approximately 800 ft. Coordination with others. a. TxDOT for TCP when work requires TCP along FM 51 b. Parker County / FNI for portable changeable message boards prior to affecting traffic patterns/flow. The work is to include furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary for the construction and other associated improvements detailed in the contract documents and specifications.
