Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Coralville, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work involves traffic control, removal and replacement of PCC streets and sidewalks, installation of concrete paver crosswalks and medians, modified subbase, subdrains, water main, storm sewer and intakes, stormwater planters, sanitary main and manholes, electrical circuits and roadway lighting, seeding, sodding, and all other work as included in the plans and specifications. All work must be performed in strict compliance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer, as referenced in the "Iowa Statewide Urban Design and Specifications (SUDAS)," as modified. Each proposal must be submitted on a form provided by the City and must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 5% of the bid, in the form of a certified or cashier's check, share draft, or bid bond. The successful bidder is required to provide a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price and a Maintenance Bond guaranteeing the maintenance of the facilities for at least two years from acceptance (five years for paving and storm sewer). The City of Coralville encourages employment of minority contractors and subcontractors. Preference will be given to products, provisions, and labor from Iowa to the extent required by law. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities.
