Professional survey and design engineering services are required to provide a full topographic survey of site conditions and to execute design engineering services for contract documents to complete the construction of a proposed trail/boardwalk and sidewalks. The project includes the construction of a 1/4 mile long public bicycle/pedestrian trail/boardwalk (8 feet wide) along the headwaters of the Pewaukee River, connecting the existing paved trail to existing gravel trail within Village-owned property, as well as a 1/4 mile long public concrete sidewalk (6 feet wide) along CTH K. The scope also includes stormwater analysis, endangered species evaluation, floodplain evaluation, letter of map revision, hydraulic analysis, compensatory storage analysis, wetland determination, and obtaining various required permits from regulatory agencies. The project must comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Standards and Codes, including WisDOT and AASHTO guidelines, and will be subject to multiple design review stages by WisDOT.
