Replacement of the Eastgate Lift Station and Force Main in Waverly, Iowa. Sealed proposals for the work must be filed before 11:00 A.M. on March 10, 2026, at the Public Works Administration office. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. Work shall commence upon approval of the contract by the City Council and as stated in the Notice to Proceed, with all work to be completed on or before December 18, 2026. Bid security in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total amount of the bid is required. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. If the bidder fails to execute the contract and to furnish an acceptable Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond or provide a Certificate of Insurance within ten days after acceptance of the bid, the bid security may be forfeited. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. The bidder shall not include sales tax in the bid; tax exemption certificates and authorization letters will be provided for construction materials. Copies of project documents are available for $25 per set, refundable if returned in reusable condition within fourteen days after the award.
