This contract is for tree protector removal and refurbishment, manual brushing, and deer repellant application (backpack spraying). The total area requiring manual brushing ONLY treatment is an estimated 17.4 hectares (2 blocks only), including a block accessed by helicopter at White Beach (Eve River/Call Inlet) area. All brushing work is to be conducted between June 1, 2026 and September 15, 2026, and may overlap with times of elevated fire danger. Locations for application of deer repellant are to be determined. The contractor must supply spray equipment. All tree protectors removed from treatment units (17 Blocks with a total of 26,886 cones) will be refurbished as described in the instructions. Refurbishment is included in the treatment area bid price, with supplies provided. Refurbished cones are to be bundled and palletized at the Campbell River District Office compound. Submissions must be made via electronic submission using BC Bid or as a hard copy tender to the specified closing location. All contract related questions must be submitted in writing ONLY to the following email address: Forests.StraitofGeorgiaTimberSalesOffice@gov.bc.ca. Deadline for receiving questions is 1:30 pm on February 23, 2026. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to BC Bid by February 25, 2026.
