Site work and paving for a road / highway in Van Wert, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Resurfacing approximately 19.65 miles of two-lane roadway of various widths from 15 to 20 feet wide with 1.5 inches of asphalt concrete 448 types 1 & 2, including tack coat, on various roads in Van Wert County, Ohio as specified. The contract will be awarded on a unit price basis for an estimated 18,074 tons of asphalt concrete 448 types 1 & 2 and tack coat as required, to be hauled, placed, and rolled by the contractor. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit for 10% of the total bid or a combination bid/performance bond for 100% of the total bid. Upon contract award, the contractor must furnish a performance bond for 100% of the contract if a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit was used. The awarded contractor must adhere to current prevailing wage rates. Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder. The Van Wert County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. The contract will be awarded on a unit price for an estimated 18,074 tons of asphalt concrete 448 types 1 & 2, and tack coat as required within the specifications, hauled, placed and rolled by the contractor.
