ESTIMATED COST: $22,000,000 - $24,000,000 Sealed bids are invited for the construction of improvements to the Northern Petroleum Terminal Expansion at the Port of Greater Baton Rouge, located in Port Allen, West Baton Rouge Parish. The type of construction includes Heavy Construction, Foundations and Pile Driving, and Wharves, Docks, Harbor Improvements, and Terminals. Bids must be prepared in accordance with Section 2 of the 2018 Edition of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Office of Multimodal Commerce, General Provisions and must include all the information required by the bid form. Bid forms are available from the Engineer and will not be issued later than 24 hours before the opening of the bids. Each bid must include a proposal guaranty of 5% of the amount of the bid, payable to the Greater Baton Rouge Port Commission. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with full opportunity afforded to disadvantaged businesses to submit bids. The right is reserved to reject bids and waive informalities. Plans and specifications may be reviewed at the Port's office, and obtained from the Engineer for a fee. Deposits for the first set of documents for bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return; additional sets will be refunded less reproduction costs. The award, if made, will be to the lowest qualified bidder whose proposal complies with all requirements, within 45 days after opening proposals, subject to certain contingencies if bonds or outside funding are involved. The successful bidder will be notified by letter. Award is contingent upon approvals by relevant commissions and agencies if state funds or bonds are used. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
