Site work and paving for a road / highway in Brandon, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project generally consists of site grading and paving for roadway improvements on Chestnut Boulevard on the east side of Brandon, SD. Bids shall be submitted on the prescribed form and will be rejected if they show any conditions or uncalled for alternative bids. All bids must be on the basis of cash payment according to the terms of the bidding documents. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security as specified. Successful bidders shall begin work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and complete the work within the contract time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. The submittal of a bid constitutes representation that the bidder has examined the bidding documents, visited the site, is familiar with local conditions, and correlated these observations with the requirements of the bidding documents. Brandon Township reserves the right to retain the bid security of the three lowest bidders for up to 30 days after the bid opening and to reject any or all bids or parts thereof. QA date - 2-17-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
