*As of February 25, 2026 this project has been cancelled and will put it out for bid at a later date.* Sealed bids will be received by the City of Ripley for Ripley City Park Pool Resurfacing. The scope of work and specifications are available and on file at the office of the City Recorder, City of Ripley, Tennessee. Specifications may be provided electronically to bidders. Printed copies may be requested. The City of Ripley reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the Owner. All questions regarding this bid shall be submitted in writing to: Name: Lee Johnston Title: Park Director Email: ljohnston@cityofripleytn.com Phone: Office 731-635-4645/ Cell 901-848-0745 *As of February 25, 2026 this project has been cancelled and will put it out for bid at a later date.* The project consists of resurfacing and associated repairs to the municipal swimming pool located at: Facility Name: Ripley City Park Address: 200 Mary Robert Drive Ripley, TN 38063 The existing pool is approximately: o 195,000 gallons pool o Construction type: Plaster o Year last resurfaced: 2012 The intent of this project is to restore structural integrity, improve safety, and extend the service life of the facility in compliance with all codes and regulations. 3. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected bidder is to provide the following services: o Drain and prepare pool surfaces o Removal of existing deteriorated surface material o Surface preparation and repairs (crack repair, patching, structural repairs as required) o Application of new pool finish: o Main body of pool - white marcite plaster o Zero entry in shallow end of pool (83' x 5' approximate) - white diamond brite o Tile and coping replacement consisting of the approximate areas of: o 83' of 3" white break tile at zero entry o 83' of 1" white tile separating pool deck from zero entry o 26' of 6" stock choice waterline tile o 5 race lanes black tile 12" wide o 10 wall targets (shallow & deep) black tile 12" wide o 50' of 2" expansion joint tile o 17 sets of depth markers o Expansion Joint: o Remove grout from interior pool expansion joint o Prepare and re-caulk with approved underwater caulking in the interior pool expansion joint o Suction Grates o Remove and replace existing main drain grates with VGB anti vortex main drain grates o Remove and replace approximately 75' of zero entry grate with 10" white grates o Handrails, ladders or other equipment if removed o Re-install handrails, ladders or other equipment if removed Site Training o Site training to park maintenance supervisor for maintenance of pool o Fill pool with park chemicals to NSF/ANSI o Main drain and fitting updates as required by code o Start-up services and water balancing assistance o Cleanup and disposal of materials o Coordination with City staff and inspection personnel o Ensure compliance with local and state health codes 4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Responding bidders shall demonstrate: o Experience with municipal or commercial pool resurfacing projects o Licensed and insured to perform work in the State of Tennessee o Knowledge of applicable health department and safety regulations o Ability to meet project schedule requirements
