Sealed bids are invited for the FRONTIER MIDDLE SCHOOL ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT. Drawings and specifications are available at the office of the Architect, Hoener Architects, LLC. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rates as determined by the State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, must be paid to all workers. The Board of Education will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder who complies with the terms. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part of a bid, accept any bid considered in the best interest of the Board, advertise for new bids, and waive any informalities or technicalities in the bid requirements and specifications. Procurement of bidding documents and further bidding instructions are available from the Architect. A voluntary pre-bid meeting and walk-through of the existing roof will be held at the main entrance lobby of Frontier Middle School. REQUESTS FOR SUBSTITUTIONS OF MATERIALS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING AT LEAST TEN (10) WORKING DAYS PRIOR TO THE DAY BIDS ARE DUE. All Bidders will be informed in writing by the Architect of all interpretations or acceptable material substitutions made during the time of bidding; All clarifications to the Architects Office shall be submitted in writing prior to bid day. A. The check, made payable to the Architect, shall serve as a security deposit to insure the return of the documents to the Architect. B. Upon return of the documents with addenda, as applicable, in good condition to the office of the Architect, the deposit check will be returned. C. Returned documents must be bound together in the same order as when issued, free of extraneous markings. D. In the event the documents are not returned within a period of twenty (20) calendar days after bid award, then the deposit check will be forfeited to the Architect as payment for drawings. E. General Contractors shall be limited to receiving a maximum of two (2) sets of bidding documents. All subcontractors shall be limited to receiving one (1) set of bidding documents.
