Site work and paving for a road / highway in Athens, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work includes the removal of existing curb/gutter, pavement, and subgrade, and the reconstruction of the roadway to include ditches, storm sewer, base course, pavement, and shouldering. The work extends from the east edge of Hope Drive to the east end of Love Lane. The approximate quantities for the major work items are: Remove Existing Roadway - 1,425 sq. yds.; Storm Sewer - 285 lineal feet; Base Course - 660 cu. yds.; Asphalt Pavement - 271 tons. Bids must be submitted on the official proposal form with a minimum 5% bid bond. The Village of Athens reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to award the contract in the best interest of the village. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. A performance bond and a payment bond, each for 100% of the total bid price, along with an executed agreement in the prescribed form, will be required from the successful bidder.
