The City of Overland, Missouri is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified contractors to provide construction services related to the replacement of the concrete stormwater bowl at Brooks Park, located at 9600 Cote Brilliante Avenue, Overland, Missouri 63114. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "CONCRETE BOWL - BROOKS PARK" with the name of the firm and the date and time of the bid opening. Proposals submitted via email or after the deadline will not be considered. The successful bidder shall comply with applicable State provisions concerning payment of prevailing wages on public works projects. All on-site employees must complete a ten-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program or an approved similar program within sixty consecutive calendar days of beginning work. All subcontractors' on-site employees must also meet this requirement. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid, in the form of a bank draft, certified check, or satisfactory Bid Bond, must accompany the bid submittal. The City will ensure that qualified minority business enterprises have full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, familial status, national origin, or political affiliation. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or deficiencies, to negotiate with any or all bidders, and to award a contract to the bidder that best meets the City's interests and requirements, even if not the lowest cost bid.
