Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Tehachapi, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
Installation of two new scoreboards, structural supports, and electrical connections at Jacobsen Middle School. Bids must be submitted by the specified deadline to the address provided. Bidders must mark the envelope with the bidder's name, project designation, and date/time of bid opening. No alternates are requested for this project. This is a prevailing wage project; all workers must be paid at least the specified rates. A Payment Bond is required for contracts over $25,000 and a Performance Bond for all contracts. The contractor must possess a valid and active contractor's license of classification B and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Electronic certified payroll records must be furnished to the Labor Commissioner. The owner will retain 5% of the amount of any progress payments. Prequalification is not required for this project. All work must be completed within the set time limits, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for delays. Attendance at the job walk, if required, is mandatory to avoid bid rejection.
