"Project will be completed using in-huose staff" The work involves the installation of approximately 2,600 linear feet of 10-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch C900 PVC water transmission pipe. The work also includes tie-ins to the existing system and two well sites. Each bid must be submitted on the provided form and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, or substitute as per Section 995.710 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in an amount not less than 10% of the bid amount. Bids must be sealed and delivered to the designated location by the specified time. The security will be forfeited if the bidder refuses to enter into a contract or furnish required bonds or insurance if awarded. Prevailing wage rates set by the California Department of Industrial Relations must be paid. Equivalent securities may be substituted for retention amounts subject to city approval. The required contractor license classification for this project is Class A - General Engineering. The city reserves the right to select schedules for bid comparison and award, to reject all bids, and to waive irregularities. A signed Noncollusion Affidavit must accompany each bid.
