Renovation of a military facility in Columbus, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Replace obsolete MONACO radio fire alarm reporting systems with new Notifier fiber fire alarm systems across multiple facilities. Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to remove existing systems and install complete, functional Notifier fiber fire alarm systems in Buildings B99, B155, B214, B348, B642, B916, and B998. The contractor shall perform all work necessary to provide fully operational fire alarm reporting systems in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements, including testing, coordination, and system integration as required to ensure proper operation. The range of magnitude for this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 365 calendar days. Additional Info: All RFIs must be submitted NLT 7:30 AM CST, on 03 June 2026. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Building 99 Visitor Center: 2.3.1 Demolish existing MONACO panel. Furnish and install new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.2 Demolish existing wiring between MANACO Panel and demolish existing devices. Furnish and install new Notifier devices in place of each existing device. Furnish and install new wiring between new Notifier panel and new Notifier devices. Reuse existing conduit where able, replace with new conduit when needed. Follow UFC 3- 600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.3 Locate new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card on the interior of the facility. Furnish and install a new dedicated electrical circuit including circuit breaker from existing electrical panel to supply power to new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. 2.3.4 Demolish existing antenna, conduit, and wire associated with MONACO panel. Repair and finish walls to match existing finish where needed as a result of demolition. 2.3.5 The existing panel in the Visitor Center also controls the devices in the vehicle inspection bay, main gate guard shack, and the guard kiosks. The contractor shall also demolish existing devices in these areas. The contractor shall furnish and install new devices. 2.3.6 The contractor shall pay special attention to requirements listed in UFC 4-022-01 Security Engineering: Entry Control Facilities/Access Control Points. 2.3.7 The contractor may use an existing spare conduit between the visitor center and the main guard shack. For other wire pulls the contractor shall reuse existing conduit. 2.3.8 Demolish existing antenna, conduit, and wire associated with MONACO panel. Repair and finish walls to match existing finish where needed. 2.3.9 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable). Building 155 Hazardous Storage Area: 2.3.10 Demolish existing MONACO panel. Furnish and install new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card shall have a fiber card for future use with fiber. The contractor shall be responsible for making the connection with fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.11 Demolish existing wiring between MANACO Panel and demolish existing devices. The contractor shall furnish and install new devices to bring facility up to code compliance. Furnish and install new wiring between new Notifier panel and new Notifier devices. Reuse existing conduit where able, replace with new conduit when needed. This includes furnishing and installing explosion proof devices and conduit should they be required per code. Follow UFC 3-600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.12 Furnish and install Notifier smoke detector over the new Notifier panel. Tie in and program new Notifier smoke detector. 2.3.13 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable). Building 214 Dog Kennel: 2.3.14 Demolish existing MONACO panel. Furnish and install new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. Furnish and install a dedicated circuit including conductor, conduit, and breaker serving the new panel. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.15 Furnish and install required duct detectors to meet NFPA and UFC requirements. Tie in and program new duct detectors into the new Notifier panel. 2.3.16 Demolish existing devices and wiring throughout facility. Furnish and install new Notifier devices and wiring in place of existing. Reuse existing conduit where able. Tie in and program new devices into new Notifier panel. Follow UFC 3-600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.17 Furnish and install Notifier smoke detector over the new Notifier panel. Tie in and program new Notifier smoke detector. 2.3.18 Demolish any existing Tamper Switches. Furnish and install new Tamper Switches in place of existing devices. 2.3.19 Demolish existing antenna, conduit, and wire associated with MONACO panel. Repair and finish walls to match existing finish where needed. 2.3.20 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable). Building 348 Youth Center: 2.3.21 Demolish the two existing MONACO panels serving the facility. Furnish and install 1 new Notifier 320 with Single Mode Fiber Card to serve the facility in its entirety. The new Panel shall be located in the main entrance of the facility. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.22 Demolish existing devices and wiring connecting to the existing MONACO panels. Furnish and install new Notifier devices, new conduit, and new wiring connecting to the new Notifier panel. Program the new devices. Follow UFC 3-600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.23 Furnish and install a micro switch serving the kitchen suppression system. Furnish and install new conduit and wiring to tie the micro switch to the new Notifier panel. Perform required programing for micro switch and panel. 2.3.24 Demolish existing antenna, conduit, and wire associated with MONACO panel. Repair and finish walls to match existing finish where needed. 2.3.25 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable). Building 642 Aircraft Maintenance Shop: 2.3.26 Demolish existing KIDDE panel. Furnish and install new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card, locate the new panel interior to facility. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier panel. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.27 Demolish existing devices. The contractor shall determine proper location, quantity, and type of devices required. Furnish and install new Notifier devices in the determined quantity, location, and types per design. This shall include furnishing and installing new wire and conduit. Follow UFC 3-600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.29 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. 2.3.31 Demolish existing devices. The contractor shall determine proper location, quantity, and type of devices required. Furnish and install new Notifier devices in the determined quantity, location, and types per design. This shall include furnishing and installing new wire and conduit. Follow UFC 3-600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.32 Demolish existing antenna, conduit, and wire associated with MONACO panel. Repair and finish walls to match existing finish where needed. 2.3.33 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable). Building 998 Fire Station: 2.3.34 Demolish existing MONACO panel. Furnish and install new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The Contractor shall furnish and install new conduit and fiber to the new Notifier 320 with single mode fiber card. The contractor shall pull from existing fiber internal to the facility. Locate the new panel in the vestibule. The contractor shall furnish and install all necessary conduit and wiring for the new location of the panel. 2.3.35 Demolish existing wiring between MANACO Panel and demolish existing devices. Furnish and install new Notifier devices in place of each existing device. Furnish and install new wiring between new Notifier panel and new Notifier devices. Reuse existing conduit where able, replace with new conduit when needed. The contractor shall also comply with requirements per UFC 4-730-10 in addition to standard design requirements. Follow UFC 3- 600-01 9-18.9.3.1 for wire labeling. 2.3.36 The bunk rooms in the fire station currently have both a carbon monoxide detector and a smoke detector. The contractor shall furnish and install a single notifier device to serve both purpose in each bunk room. The contractor shall be responsible for repairing all finishes and covering all holes from previous devices. The contractor shall color match repair work to existing finishes. 2.3.37 The contractor shall furnish and install code compliant smoke detector for the kitchen area. The contractor shall furnish and install microswitches for the stoves and vent hoods in the kitchen. 2.3.38 The contractor shall relocate the annunciator panel in the dispatch room to code compliant location in the dispatch room such that is has 3 feet of working space. The contractor shall furnish and install any necessary conduit and wiring to accomplish this. 2.3.39 Incorporate existing dry and wet pipe systems that serve the facility into the new notifier system such that they function together in a code compliant manner. 2.3.40 The Contractor shall program new panel and all new devices to communicate between each other and the fire station. Onyx Workstation shall be updated with imported drawings, images of pertinent equipment such as sprinkler risers, icons of devices overlaid on floor plans, multiple screens for each project to enable efficient navigation and identification of alarm/trouble/supervisory conditions, and programming for audio files according to base requirements which may or may not be generated by the workstation microphone (where applicable).
