The work will entail removing or pruning tree growth that interferes with the City's electric street lighting and high-voltage system. The City requires high-voltage utility line tree trimming services to maintain its streetlight and distribution system. The Electric Utility Department, Electric Distribution Division, is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the electric systems, which include five substations, approximately forty-five thousand poles, thirty-seven thousand streetlights, and more than 300 miles of overhead and underground conductors and related infrastructure.
