Site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Indianola, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The work includes all materials, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to complete the improvements. The proposed project includes 85 cubic yards of class 10 excavation, 1345 square yards of construction of soil aggregate subbase, 724 square yards of 8" PCC pavement, 8688 square yards of full depth reclamation, 8699 square yards of 6" PCC Trail Pavement, 23 square yards of sidewalk pavement, 117 square yards of pavement removal, trail signage, traffic control, erosion control, surface restoration, and other miscellaneous work. Substantial completion for the overall project is defined as all full depth reclamation, trimming, paving, grading, backfill, topsoil, finish grading, signage, and trail work completed with the streets, driveways, and trails fully open to traffic. Each bidder must accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond in a form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. Each successful bidder will be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to 100% of its contract price, guaranteeing the faithful performance of the contract and terms and conditions therein, prompt payment of all material and labor, and protection of Warren County Conservation Board from claims and damages. The maintenance period for new paving is four years. Nondiscrimination in consideration for award is required in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related regulations. Preference will be given to Iowa products, provisions, and labor to the extent required by law. A sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all materials purchased for incorporation in the project. Iowa DOT Project No. RT-C091(145) - -9H-91
