Site work for a water / sewer project in Indianola, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of 8-inch sanitary sewer services lines, manholes, storm sewer installation, roadway paving, roadway and curb ramps, driveway aprons together with related subsidiary and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each bidder must provide bid security in an amount equal to five percent of the total bid. Preference is to be given to domestic construction materials and to Iowa products and provisions as well as Iowa domestic labor to the extent lawfully required. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid, as tax exemption certificates and authorization letters will be provided for the project. Plans and specifications are available at no cost upon request. Minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Work must commence within 10 days of notice to proceed, be substantially complete by a set date, and fully complete by a further specified date or be subject to daily damages.
