Furnish approximately 35,000 pounds of hydro-fluosilicic acid in thirty (30) gallon drums or fifteen (15) gallon drums or totes, meeting A.W.W.A. standards and NSF Standard #60 for use in drinking water treatment. Bids must be submitted using the proposal form and/or specifications furnished by the City, properly completed and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked: "CITY OF ESCANABA HYDRO-FLUOSILICIC ACID BID-2026." Bids received after the published time, date, and year of the bid opening will not be considered. Fax transmittals are not accepted. A certified check, cashier’s check, or bidder’s bond, payable to the City of Escanaba, Michigan, in an amount not less than 10% of the bid, must be submitted with each proposal as a guarantee. If the successful bidder fails to fulfill the conditions of the proposal, the deposit will be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. Acceptance of the proposal is contingent on the bidder’s acceptance of this provision. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. The City may also split bids at its discretion and negotiate directly with any or all bidders concerning any matter related to the bid. All vendors must be afforded equal opportunity for fair and equitable competition.
