Renovation of a multi-residential development in Fairmont, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Burn Unit Renovation project at 200 Morro Street. The scope of work involves the renovation and modernization of the existing project, specifically including renovation of the building at 200 Morrow Street due to extensive fire and water damage, as well as all other work shown on the plans, in the Project Manual, and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction. Bidders are instructed that complete plans and the Project Manual are available for inspection and download, and all contractors must have proper licensing under state laws. Proposals must be accompanied by a cash deposit or certified check equal to not less than five percent of the proposal, or a bid bond, based on the maximum bid price. A performance and payment bond for one hundred percent of the contract price will be required if the bid is $100,000.00 or more. Payment will be made on the basis of ninety percent of monthly estimates and final payment upon completion and acceptance of work. Contractors must also comply with lead-based paint certification requirements for work disturbing painted surfaces in buildings built before 1978. Bids may be submitted by drop-off, mail, or secure electronic upload per detailed instructions. Bids must be received-not just sent-by the bid date and time, and late bids will not be accepted. Emailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for a period of sixty days.
