Site work for a civil project in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
As of February 24, 2026 this project has not yet been awarded. A timelne for the award was not yet been establsihed. The Project consists of sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, and street lighting systems' replacement and street reconstruction on S. Commerce Street and South Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way affect or make void the contract, except that additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be appropriately made. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, or any part of a bid, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the OWNER, will best serve the interest of the OWNER. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted, and bidders will not need to be prequalified. The letting of the work described herein is subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15, 66.0901, and 66.0903(1m) of the Wisconsin Statutes. This Project is also funded in part with funds from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Safe Drinking Water Loan Program (SDWLP) and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Clean Water Fund Program (CWFP). Conformance with the American Iron & Steel (A.I.S.) and associated SDWLP and CWFP requirements are required. The South Street portion of the Project is also funded in part by Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) - MSILT Program Funds from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. Wage rates must conform to the prevailing wage rate determination established by the Federal Department of Labor. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or other protected class. Federal Labor Standards program laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act will apply to this Project. Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE's), Women's Business Enterprises (WBE's), Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRA's) are encouraged to submit bids. A good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of participation for MBE/WBE utilization is required. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
