This project entails the painting of student rooms and hallways in North Campus. The painting will require patching and installation of surfacing materials following ceiling plaster abatement. Each student room entails preparation of painting surfaces to receive paint and application of one primer coat and two coats of finish paint. Bidders must submit a Cost Proposal utilizing the provided form; no substitution is permitted. The lowest responsible Bidder will be required to submit financial documents demonstrating the ability to complete a construction project with a minimum value of at least $550,000, upon notification from the University. Bidders must also provide information on previous relevant experience, utilizing the specified form, and describe the qualifications and responsibilities of key personnel assigned to the project, including resumes for the Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Required documents for the bid include SEEC Form 10, the Bidder Contract Compliance Monitoring Report, Supplier Diversity Certificate (if certified), bid security if the total bid is over $50,000, and a letter confirming bonding capacity. The Contractor is required to self-perform not less than ten percent of the Total Contract Price with its own forces. Additionally, at least thirty percent of the Total Contract Price must be awarded to certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and ten percent to certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), with good faith efforts required in meeting these goals.
