Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Eddyville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids will be received for Contract A: Water Treatment Plant Upgrades. Bids must be unqualified and meet insurance and bonding requirements. Contract and bidding documents may be examined at specified locations and obtained for a non-refundable fee. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond of at least five percent of the bid amount as security for proper execution of the contract. The project is partially funded by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and is subject to specific regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act, Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, Illinois Works Jobs Program Act Apprenticeship Initiative, "Use of American Iron and Steel" requirements, and policies regarding disadvantaged business enterprises. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 and associated requirements. Joint ventures or partnerships are not acceptable. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. Illinois Dept. of Labor prevailing wages apply, with preference in hiring for Illinois citizens. The OWNER reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the owner's best interest. The Millstone Public Water District is an equal opportunity employer.
