The State of Florida Department of Transportation (hereinafter referred to as the "Department" is soliciting written bids from qualified bidders to establish a contract to Construct three (3) framed walls from slab to deck within equipment storage bays AND provide installation of electric, as described in Exhibit "A" Scope of Work. It is anticipated that the term of the contract will begin on or about MAR 19, 2026 and all work must be completed by JUNE 1, 2026. Deadline for All Questions - 02-26-2026 10:00 AM Any technical questions arising from this Invitation to Bid must be forwarded, in writing, to the procurement agent identified below. Questions must be received no later than the time and date reflected on the Timeline. All Questions should be submitted to: D5.ProcurementQuestions@dot.state.fl.us. Posting of Responses to All Questions - March 3, 2026 11:00 Am FDOT - District Five Operations Construction of Bay Walls & Installation of Electric The Department seeks to obtain the services of a licensed, insured Florida General Contractor to provide turnkey construction services including installation of three (3) new walls within existing equipment storage bays and associated electrical work. 1. Construct three (3) framed walls from slab to deck within equipment storage bays (Please see attachment #1 for reference, will also be identified in a mandatory prebid meeting). o One (1) wall shall include a 3'-0" hollow metal door with frame and hardware (Sargent AE6 large core). 2. Wall framing: o 2x6 pressure-treated lumber at 16" O.C. o Base and top plates anchored to concrete using 1/2 " Red Head wedge anchors with oversized washers, spaced no greater than 6'-0" O.C. 3. Sheathing: o 1/2 " OSB with 1/8" perimeter gap (exterior and interior) o Two (2) layers of Grade D water-resistive barrier 4. Exterior finish: o Stucco, minimum two (2) coats (scratch coat finish) o Paint with two (2) coats Sherwin-Williams Loxon XT, color SW 6253 5. Door and frame: o Prime with Sherwin-Williams DTM Bonding Primer o Finish with two (2) coats Sherwin-Williams Super Paint Exterior Acrylic, color SW 2740 ELECTRICAL SCOPE: 1. Provide and install: o Three (3) new 20-amp breakers in existing electrical panel: Two (2) dedicated to motorized roll-up door operators One (1) dedicated to lighting and receptacles 2. Run new 12 AWG copper conductors in conduit from panel to all new loads. 3. Install electrical infrastructure for: o Eight (8) UL 325-listed motorized roll-up door operators (doors installed by Owner; locations to be coordinated). 4. Lighting: o Install eight (8) new 2x4 LED light fixtures, 5000K, surface mounted (Please see attachment #2 for reference). o Four (4) fixtures shall include integral emergency battery backup capable of providing minimum 90 minutes of emergency illumination in accordance with NFPA 101. 5. Emergency lighting & egress: o Install one (1) hardwired exit sign (Model FHEC35R or approved equal) at man door. o Install wall-mounted emergency light over door. 6. Wall packs: o Remove six (6) existing interior wall packs. o Install six (6) new exterior wall packs with photocell. o Existing wall packs shall be returned to Owner. 7. Install one (1) duplex receptacle at man door, interior bay side.
