Sealed bids are sought for the procurement of two substation power transformers for the South Middleborough Substation. This bid is for procurement of material only. Bids must be received in triplicate, along with a thumb drive, in a sealed envelope marked as specified. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check for at least five percent of the bid amount or a bid bond of the same value from a corporate surety licensed in Massachusetts. The winning bidder must provide insurance certificates or policies if required within ten calendar days of the award. If the awarded bidder does not enter into the contract and provide the required forms within ten business days after notification, the bid surety may be forfeited at the Town's option. Bids must be completed on forms provided by the Middleborough Gas & Electric Department; bids on other forms may be rejected. Supplementary sheets on the bidder's letterhead may be used for additional terms, conditions, or technical deviations and will become part of the Bid Form. The Department reserves the right to reject any bid not on the specified form, to waive any irregularity or informality, and to reject any or all bids or accept any bid deemed in the best interest of the Department.
