The work includes HMA pavement milling and resurfacing, select curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, structure adjustments, pavement striping, electrical conduit installation, brick veneer column and seat wall construction, installation of a public art sculpture, and installation of street furniture and native plantings. All bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, certified check, or bid bond made payable to the Village of Lake Bluff in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the aggregate bid amount. The Village reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or technicalities in bidding, and to accept the bid which best serves the interests of the Village. Bidders awarded a contract are required to provide a Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the total amount of the contract sum upon execution of the contract. The successful bidder must pay the general prevailing wage for the work as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor and submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act and bidding requirements.
