Sealed proposals are requested for athletic lighting and scoreboard upgrades to Pell City High School for Pell City Schools. All General Contractors must visit the site and examine all existing conditions prior to submitting their proposal. Bidders shall be required to have general liability and workman's compensation insurance. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety days after the scheduled closing. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if deemed in the Owner’s best interest. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to Pell City Schools in an amount not less than five percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000, must accompany the proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at contract signing. Bidders exceeding the State Licensing Board limit must be properly licensed under Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must display their current license number on the outside of the sealed proposal envelope.
