The City of Fenton, Missouri seeks bids from qualified contractors for the 2026 Parking Lot Replacement Project for 900 Gregory Lane. Bids must be addressed to Fenton City Hall at 625 New Smizer Mill Road, Fenton Missouri, and submitted by the specified deadline. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting at the project site and obtain Bid Documents directly from the City by contacting the City Clerk. Bids must be clearly marked, submitted on the provided Bid Proposal form, and all work shall be performed according to City specifications. Scope Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, etc. necessary to replace an existing asphalt parking lot with asphalt and concrete curbs and construct a new concrete sidewalk at 900 Gregory Lane, Fenton, MO 63026, in accordance with the terms and specifications herein (the “Work”). In a case of doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Plans and Technical Specifications, or any other part of the Bid Documents, any person who has obtained a copy of the Bid Documents may submit to the City an e-mail request to dhoward@fentonmo.org Question Deadline 02/25/2026 SPECIFICATIONS 1. Removals. All existing asphalt, asphalt curbing, and unsuitable base material within the drive and parking areas of 900 Gregory Lane are to be removed. All materials must be removed from the site and properly disposed of at an approved dump site. 2. Concrete curb. New Type "S" concrete curb shall be constructed as indicated on the plans (See Attachment A). The new Type "S" concrete curb shall conform to St. Louis County standard details indicated on detail sheet (attachment B). 3. Type 5 Base Rock. Existing base rock shall be left in place if determined by the Public Works Director as being suitable for base material. A minimum of 6" of base rock shall be graded and compacted to St. Louis County Specifications. 4. Asphalt. Asphalt material shall be placed by methods approved by the City and compacted per St. Louis County Specifications. Asphalt shall be placed a minimum of 3" of base mix and 2" of wearing surface. The asphalt surface shall be constructed to allow positive drainage. 5. Existing conditions. The area of construction is known to have utilities located underground including gas, electric, water, and irrigation. All steps shall be taken by the Contractor to ensure no damage occurs to these facilities. The City will work in conjunction with the Contractor to locate underground utilities. 6. 5' Sidewalk. Construction of the new sidewalk in accordance with ADA standards shall consist of excavating to grade and placing four inches (4") of type 5 rock compacted with four inches (4") of concrete sidewalk surface.
