Reference Number 0000412787 Dorchester County GID PID No. 137-03-18-001.000 Question Deadline 04/07/2026 at 5:00 PM ET Questions are submitted online Yes The Town of Summerville is seeking to hire a qualified firm to construct two tennis courts measuring 120' x 120' at Doty Park. The existing courts on the site must be demolished by the contractor to allow for the new construction. The project will include site work as outlined in the geotechnical report, 10' vinyl-coated fencing, court surfacing and striping, and posts with nets. This project needs to be financially feasible and include a realistic timeline and budget for implementation. General Requirements - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Warranty Information Required The scope of the project includes, but may not be limited to: o The contractor should erect and maintain fencing, barricades, and warning signs to the extent required by law or reasonably necessary for protection of the public. o The existing courts are to be demolished and disposed of properly. The existing light poles and fixtures are the only existing items to be left and reused. o Prepare site in compliance with the geotechnical report dated August 1, 2025 and available through Bidnet. o Finished subgrade should slope not less than 0.83% (1:120) and not more than 1% (1:100) o Furnish and install approximately 476 linear feet of 10' vinyl coated fence, 1 3/4 " mesh, 9 gauge. Terminal posts will be 3" OD SS20, line posts will be 2 1/2 " OD SS20, with 1 5/8" OD top Rail and bottom tension wire. Corner gateposts will be braced will center rail. Four 4' x 7' gates will be furnished and installed. Fence installed should match existing fence on site. o Finished surface of the courts shall not vary more than 1/8" in 10' when measured in any direction. o Furnish and apply a Nova Sports USA all-weather surface system or approved comparable substitute as recommended by the manufacturer. Colors will be selected by the Town. o Line the courts for doubles play and juniors in accordance with the US Tennis Association Guidelines using textured white acrylic line paint. Furnish and install 3" OD heavy- duty galvanized steel net posts with external-wind reel and center strap anchors. Posts to have chip-resistant enamel paint, set in ground sleeves within a concrete foundation. Install court master royale vinyl headband nets with center straps or comparable substitution. o All tennis court construction shall conform to the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) guidelines as outlined in the attached document. o The contractor should at all times keep the premises clean and free of accumulated waste materials and rubbish caused by the operations. At the final completion of the job, the contractor should restore all areas damaged in the course of the work. o Submit for all building, zoning and development permits through the Town of Summerville. Please note, permit fees will be waived. Saul Alexander Additional Scope of Work includes: o Patch area that is approximately 28" x 19" o Furnish and apply a Nova Sports USA all-weather surface system or comparable substitute, matching existing court colors and blending to existing surface. Doty Park Tennis Courts Includes demolition of existing courts, site work per geotechnical report, fencing, surfacing, striping, and installation of posts and nets as outlined in the RFP. Saul Alexander Park Court Repair Includes patch repair approximately 28" x 19" and surfacing to match existing court, per RFP specifications.
