Planned Maintenance and Inspection Services for Environmentally Controlled Walk-In Units includes Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity services to provide routine planned maintenance and inspection support for approximately seventy environmentally controlled walk-in units across multiple Smithsonian Institution facilities. The ECWs vary by manufacturer and include diverse mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, size, environmental control, and operational configurations. The units support collections, research materials, animal food and medicine, biological samples, necropsy products, artifacts, radioactive materials, photographs, biobank materials, pest control materials, DNA, tissues, germplasm, embryos, waste products, and other plant, animal, and soil products essential to the Smithsonian's mission. The requirement is open to all businesses under NAICS 236220 with a one-year base period of performance and nine option years available. The effort includes providing planned maintenance and inspection services in accordance with Smithsonian requirements, with proposals submitted directly through the specified Dropbox portal by the stated deadline. Location: Smithsonian facilities in Washington, DC; Suitland, MD; Front Royal, VA; Edgewater, MD; Chantilly, VA; and Landover, MD.
