Site work and new construction of a power facility in Kissimmee, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility.
Kissimmee Utility Authority is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a new greenfield Van Meter Substation. The Contractor will be responsible for substation construction activities, which include furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment not provided by KUA. KUA will supply major equipment such as breakers, substation transformers, PDC switchgear, and the control house, with a complete list provided elsewhere. The Contractor must construct the substation and install all KUA-furnished materials, completing all work in accordance with contract documents and applicable standards. Excluded from this scope are transformer erection, assembly and filling; supply and termination of relay control or power cables; testing and commissioning of substation equipment; installation of transmission structures other than substation H frame transmission bay takeoff structures; supply/installation/termination of 15KV URD feeder cable; supply and installation of 15KV station service transformers; supply and installation of distribution circuit air break cabinet switchgear; and the supply and installation of the substation battery system and charger. Coordination with KUA Operations crews and other contractors for work outside this scope is required. Only firms with demonstrated substation construction experience and qualified, trained on-site personnel are eligible to submit proposals.
