Sealed bids are invited for furnishing materials and performing the labor for the execution and construction of the Guernsey County Dog Shelter on County Home Road, Guernsey County, OH, in accordance with prepared plans and specifications. The General Contractor will be responsible for scheduling the project, coordinating all sub-contractors, and providing services identified in the contract documents. Bid documents must be obtained in complete sets from the issuing office, Diversified Engineering, Inc., for a fee, and only bids from official purchasers of the documents will be accepted. Facsimile and email proposals will not be accepted. Any proposed equal for a standard must be submitted to the engineer no later than five days prior to the bid opening; if not addressed by addendum, they will be considered rejected. A bid guarantee as required by ORC 153.54 must accompany each proposal in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid guaranty and contract bond, as specified. The successful bidder must then file a performance bond for the full contract amount. All bids must include a Non-Collusion Affidavit and Personal Property Tax Statement. Offers must be irrevocable for 60 days after submission. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into a contract deemed most suitable to its needs.
