Miller Road (Lilburn-Stone Mountain Road to Garner Road) Pedestrian Improvement Project This is a Pedestrian Improvement project consisting of 0.238 miles of clearing and grubbing, grading, sidewalk, curb and gutter, striping, water service connections, and sewer manhole adjustments. The quantities involved include earthwork less than 1,000 cubic yards, 1,145 linear feet of curb and gutter, 860 square yards of concrete flat work, 20 tons of asphalt, and 842 linear feet of storm drain pipe. Instructions to bidders: Bids must be typed or submitted in ink and returned in a sealed container marked with the project number and company name. All bids should be submitted in duplicate and include a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Successful vendors must meet insurance requirements, and submit a 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond, with bonding companies meeting state requirements and an A.M. Best rating of A-8 or higher. Bids are considered legal and binding upon submission. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with the option for the award to be split or negotiated at the county's discretion. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
