Renovation of a multi-residential development in Checotah, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The scope of work consists of the rehabilitation of one home located in McIntosh County. Work must be completed according to the work write-up, within 15 working days, and should begin within two weeks of notification. If the contractor extends beyond the contract end date, $100.00 will be charged for liquidated damages for each additional working day. Bidders must fully complete the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up to be considered responsive and responsible. Bidders seeking preference must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office and must include proof of certification. The successful bidder must comply with Tribal rules and regulations and TERO requirements. The purchase order will be awarded to the responsible contractor submitting the lowest, most responsive bid in accordance with the procurement policy, subject to availability of funds. Instructions to bidders include submitting bids by the specified deadline, ensuring delivery, and understanding that late bids will not be considered. Bids are accepted from both Indian and Non-Indian bidders. Proof of TERO certification is required for Indian preference. This project is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, with preference given to Indian organizations and Indian-owned economic enterprises. TERO requirements include a fee of 1/2 of 1% of the contract award, completion of the TERO Labor Agreement, and a payment of $25 per day for each non-Indian employee on the project. The successful bidder must have all fees and paperwork submitted to TERO for the contract or purchase order to be considered fully executed. Davis-Bacon Wage Rate #OK20260003 applies to this project, and any state or Tribal law requiring higher wage rates than the federal rate will not be enforced.
